The Aqmos 1 backwash filter provides effective filtration that reliably removes unwanted particles such as dirt, sand, rust, sediment, and suspended matter. It protects water pipes and connected systems from corrosion and functional damage, thus ensuring safe and clean operation.

Made of high-strength, engineering plastic and optimized for flow, the filter is ideal for particle sizes from 90 µm. Thanks to the integrated automatic backwash filter, the filter element's screen surface is continuously cleaned, resulting in consistently high filtration performance.

Integrated automation and adjustable backwash intervals

The automatic backwash filter system enables reliable and automated filter cleaning. Before initiating the backwash process, the system checks whether the backup battery has sufficient power reserve to successfully complete the flushing process even in the event of a power failure or non-use of the power supply.

The backwash interval is flexibly adjustable and can be individually programmed from 1 to 99 days. This ensures needs-based cleaning and optimizes the operation of the water systems.

Pressure reducers and pressure gauges – precise control

A continuously adjustable pressure reducer, which is also soundproof, ensures that the water pressure is continuously regulated and stabilized. At the same time, the integrated pressure gauge allows for constant monitoring of the water pressure, effectively protecting against damage caused by excessive pressure.

Pressure regulation is easy: Using a flathead screwdriver, loosen the screws in the pressure adjustment knob and increase the water outlet pressure by turning the knob clockwise. Always ensure that the water pressure at the outlet is lower than that at the inlet.

Installation conditions and installation

For optimal operation, it is important to install the filter according to the installation instructions in the operating manual. The installation location should be frost-proof and protected from direct sunlight. The backwash filter, including the automatic system, must be connected directly to the sewer water supply.

Before installation, ensure that the scope of delivery is complete. Be sure to connect the shut-off valve, release the pressure in the pipes, and carefully check the filter screen for correct flow direction after installation. An arrow on the brass head clearly indicates the correct flow direction.

Commissioning, backwashing and maintenance

After installation, the backwash filter should be thoroughly inspected. Ensure that the drain pipe is properly connected or that a suitable collection container is available before starting the backwash process. Turning the lower part of the filter 3 to 4 turns clockwise and counterclockwise effectively cleans the filter housing.

Depending on the water quality, it is recommended to rinse the backwash filter at least once a month for 1-2 minutes to ensure proper functionality. Additionally, disassembling and cleaning the filter screen annually is recommended. Only original spare parts should be used for cleaning or maintenance work to ensure proper function.
