Manufacturer and quality

The Plamen Tara comes from the long-established PLAMEN foundry in Požega (Croatia), which has been producing high-quality cast iron products for around 90 years. The workmanship and material quality ensure durability and a lasting appearance.

As the official importer, we guarantee a nationwide supply of spare parts via our warehouse in Schwarzkollm, so that original parts are still available even after many years.

Design and applications

The Tara combines classic cast iron aesthetics with modern design: its circular shape, decorative details, and generous viewing window create a striking fire panorama that is equally appealing from behind. Its compact size makes it suitable for living rooms, hallways, garden sheds, or workshops.

Optionally, a universal base is available in three sizes, allowing the oven to be flexibly integrated into different living situations.

Technology and combustion

The stove features separate primary and secondary air supplies as well as an airwash system for a constant view of the flames. A deflector lengthens the flue gas path and improves combustion.

With an efficiency of 84%, the Tara is one of the most efficient fireplaces in its class, saving fuel and reducing combustion residues.

room air independence and connection

The Plamen Tara has an external combustion air connection (Ø 80 mm) and can be operated independently of room air — ideal for modern, airtight, low-energy houses with ventilation systems. Use of the connection is optional.

Since the door is not self-closing (type 2), a separate chimney flue or chimney calculation is required according to German regulations.

Approvals and documents

The fireplace meets the requirements of the German Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) Stage 2 and has been tested and certified for Germany. Local standards for regions such as Regensburg, Stuttgart, and Munich are taken into account, so no additional particulate filter is necessary.

Declaration of performance, operating instructions and all necessary German documents are included in the scope of delivery.

Combustion chamber, weight and ease of use

The spacious firebox accommodates logs up to approximately 36 cm in length. The solid cast iron construction (weighing approximately 85 kg) ensures stable radiant heat and a long service life.

The stove is elaborately sealed, equipped with a large, removable ash pan and a comfortable door handle; it is suitable for continuous burning and designed for everyday use.

Maintenance, spare parts and service

Thanks to its robust construction, maintenance is minimal. Original spare parts can be easily ordered from the spare parts warehouse if needed, ensuring the oven's long-term usability.

The glass cleaning system reduces the cleaning effort required for the viewing window, and the removable ash box makes it easier to clean the combustion chamber.
