The Aqmos BM-32 water softener was specially developed for households with up to three people and reliably removes limescale through ion exchange. With an inlet water hardness of 10°dH, up to 3,200 liters of soft water can be provided per regeneration cycle. This way, you benefit long-term from protected plumbing and economical detergent consumption.

Compact design and high-quality components

The system is housed in a robust cabinet with a removable lid. Inside is a glass-fiber-reinforced (GRP) pressure bottle filled with durable ion exchange resin. The housing also serves as a regeneration salt container and can hold up to 40 kg of table salt.

The system is completed by the water quantity-controlled valve BNT 1650, which is mounted directly on the pressure bottle and controls the regeneration process fully automatically.

How ion exchange works

At its core, the high-quality resin exchanges the calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions contained in the water for sodium ions (Na+). This process effectively removes limescale and ensures soft water in the kitchen and bathroom.

The ion exchange resin is designed for a service life of over 20 years and remains permanently efficient through regular regeneration.

Intelligent flow control with valve BNT 1650

The integrated valve monitors soft water consumption via a water meter. Once the preset volume is reached, regeneration doesn't start immediately, but rather at 2:00 a.m. This optimizes the availability of lime-free water.

Before regeneration, a reserve capacity is available to absorb any peaks in consumption. The factory default setting adapts to your water parameters and consumption patterns.

Automatic regeneration for lasting performance

Once the resin is fully saturated with calcium and magnesium ions, the system automatically passes a concentrated saline solution (NaCl) over the resin. This flushes out the calcium ions and repopulates the resin with sodium ions.

The resulting saline solution, including the dissolved hardness-forming substances, flows into the wastewater system via a separate drain, while the integrated bypass carries untreated tap water. This ensures your water supply remains uninterrupted during regeneration.

Security regeneration during inactivity

To prevent microbial contamination in the resin bed, the BM-32 automatically performs a forced regeneration after ten days of inactivity. This safety measure ensures permanently hygienically perfect resin.

Practical salt filling and maintenance

The integrated salt container holds up to 40 kg of table salt, which, depending on water hardness and usage, is sufficient for approximately three to four months. A float valve with a safety cartridge prevents the housing from overflowing.

If the salt supply is depleted, it can be easily refilled. This ensures your water softener remains operational at all times, allowing you to enjoy permanently soft, limescale-free water.
